FAQs
How + when do I pay for membership?
To join VB BEAUTÉ, simply add a membership to your shopping bag and you’ll be able to shop at our exclusive members-only prices! You won’t pay anything, or officially join, until you check out.
If you’re chosen VB BEAUTÉ PLUS, you’ll pay one upfront fee for the whole year and your membership automatically renews on the same date the following year, unless you cancel.
If you’re chosen VB BEAUTÉ MONTHLY, your membership fee will be taken on the exact day and time that you originally signed up, each month. If you joined us on the last day of the month, your renewal date will always be on the last day of every month going forward (i.e. in February, which only has 28 days, you’ll renew on the 28th rather than the 29th, 30th or 31st). If you have upgraded, downgraded, or had a problem with your payment - resulting in a break in your first membership date - the new date and time of your re-activated membership will be your new renewal date every month. Payment is taken automatically using the card you registered in the ‘Payment Methods’ tab - marked as your 'Membership Fee Payment Method'. You can amend your method of payment at any time in the My Account section of our website.
Do I get to choose my products?
Yes! You shop for what you want, when you want. Some of our customers shop every quarter, others twice a month. It’s completely up to you (although we do encourage buying more at once and shipping more thoughtfully).
How do I cancel my membership?
If you want to cancel your membership, please submit a cancellation order HERE. Please allow at least 72 hours before your next renewal so we have time to process your request.
Annual Memberships - If you’re on an annual membership, and outside of the initial 14-day cooling off period, we can cancel your auto-renewal at any time, no further membership payments will be taken and your membership will expire at the end of its current term.
Monthly Memberships - If you have not yet placed any product orders, you may cancel your membership within 14 days of purchase, you’ll be refunded any membership fee paid, and your membership will be terminated. Post 14-day cooling off period, monthly memberships have a 3-month minimum term. After your third-month membership payment has been successfully taken, you’re able to cancel your plan at any time. Please note: If you have previously signed up for and cancelled a monthly membership inside of the 3-month minimum, we will be unable to allow this a second time.
*Membership automatically renews.
WILL MY RENEWAL DATE CHANGE WHEN UPGRADING TO AN ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP?
Yes - if you’re a Monthly Member, your new annual renewal date will be the date you complete checkout with your VB BEAUTÉ PLUS membership.
You can check your renewal date under the ‘my membership’ section of your account at any time.
I’M IN MY 14 DAY COOLING OFF PERIOD BUT I’VE PLACED AN ORDER. CAN I CANCEL?
You can return unopened products in the same hygienic, resalable condition that you’ve received from us for a refund of the products and your membership fee. (Please note, we do not cover the cost of returns.) You can contact our Happiness sales team HERE for a return authorization.
Unfortunately, if you’ve already used the products or if they are no longer in a resalable condition, we can still cancel the auto-renewal on your membership so that you are not charged for a second months/ years subscription fee, however, we will not refund you for the cost of the products purchased.
HOW CAN I CHANGE MY PAYMENT METHOD?
Once signed into your VB BEAUTÉ account you can use the ‘Payment Methods’ tab to add to or amend your saved payment options. You can have as many payment methods saved as you would like and you can choose which payment method is charged for each renewal.
Please be advised that you must have one Payment Method on file at any time.
WHY HAS THE PRICE OF A PRODUCT CHANGED?
VB BEAUTÉ is a luxury beauty buyers'. Our prices are dynamic and based on the prices we get by buying large orders of products direct from our labs and suppliers.
This means that the price of an item may go up or down slightly, depending on a variety of factors, including the size of the batches we order, the global market for raw ingredients and packaging materials, shipping methods (boats, trains, planes and trucks), import duties, and operational necessities, including safety measures within the supply chain.
Of course, our product development and supply chain teams work steadfastly, negotiating hard on behalf of our members, and whenever possible taking advantage of our size and scale (while never compromising on quality). Prices may go up or down slightly, and if we hit a tipping point in order quantities, they can drop quite dramatically.
Update August 2021: At the moment, shipping and operational issues related to COVID-19 have caused extreme inflation across our entire supply chain. If you were paying Typical Retail prices you might notice this dramatically, but thanks to our ‘no middleman, no retailer markup’ promise, we’ve done very well and any increases our members see should be quite minimal.
